FAQ

🧀 PRODUCTS & STORAGE

·    Are your products
100% plant-based?

Yes, all our products are 100% plant-based and free from ingredients of animal
origin. They are also lactose-free, milk-protein-free and low in saturated fat
(they contain no cholesterol).

· Are they gluten-free?

Our own cheese alternatives are GLUTEN-FREE. Some products we stock may contain
gluten, but this is always stated on the product page: please always check this
to be on the safe side. Limited Editions are generally gluten-free too (but
please check the product details anyway).

· Are they suitable for people who are lactose intolerant or
allergic to milk?

Yes. They contain no lactose, milk proteins or animal derivatives. For specific
allergies, always check the list of ingredients and allergens on the label.

· How do they compare in flavour to traditional cheeses?

You won’t taste cow’s or sheep’s milk, but thanks to our natural fermentation
process, the flavour will be surprisingly similar. We don’t aim to imitate
traditional cheese 100 per cent: we want you to think “What a treat!” as soon
as you taste it. That’s our goal.

· What is their use-by date?

Our products have a long shelf life, generally at least 20 days or more. If
it’s shorter, this is always stated on the product page. Average shelf lives by
range: - Squaglino: 1–3 months - Goduria (grated): 3–6 months -
Soft/semi-matured Cashewttine: 1–3 months - Crosta fiorita: 30–40 days -
Superbella: 20–30 days

· How should I store them once I’ve received them?

As soon as you receive the parcel, put the products in the fridge straight
away. We recommend eating them after they’ve been in the fridge for at least
3–4 hours. Once opened, eat them within 4–5 days and store them properly: wrap
them in baking paper, not cling film.

· Can I freeze them?

The use-by dates are quite long, so there’s generally no need to freeze them.
However, you can freeze the following: Squaglino, Superbella, Cashewttine and
Goduria (grated). To defrost them, place them in the fridge.

· The product contains mould – is this normal?

Yes, if you’ve bought a product with a bloomy rind, it’s normal for it to
contain mould: this is noble mould that we add during the maturing process. You
can safely eat the rind: it’s the tastiest part! This applies to both white
moulds and darker ones (blue, green, grey, Roquefort-style).

🚚 SHIPPING & DELIVERY

·    Do the products
arrive fresh?

Yes. We produce and dispatch only fresh products, in insulated containers with
ice or gel packs that keep the products fresh and safe during dispatch.
Furthermore, as they are 100% plant-based, they are naturally less sensitive to
temperature fluctuations than cheeses made from animal milk: so everything is
safe!

· If the parcel arrives late, could the products be damaged?

The risk of this happening is very low. These are plant-based products that are
less sensitive to temperature fluctuations than cheeses made from animal milk,
and we dispatch them in insulated containers; so even if this were to happen,
the products are safe – even if it took 72 hours, the goods would remain safe.
In any case, if you have any concerns, please contact us: we’ll take immediate
action to assist you and resolve the situation.

· If the parcel arrives broken or with damaged products,
what should I do?

Should this happen, please send us a photo of the parcel or the products within
24 hours of arrival, and we’ll get back to you to resolve the situation and
ensure everything is sorted.

· When will I receive my parcel?

Orders are dispatched from our workshop every Monday and take an average of
24–48 hours for delivery, or 72 hours in some areas. You’ll receive a tracking
number by email as soon as the parcel is handed over to the courier.
